Andrew Brown is a Solicitor in the Civil Litigation department at Stokoe Partnership Solicitors. He specialises in complex and high-value disputes, with particular expertise in civil fraud, asset tracing, hacking, and cross-border litigation.
Andrew regularly acts for high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients across a wide range of sectors. His practice includes urgent injunctive relief, worldwide freezing orders, and recovery of misappropriated assets.
Notable cases he has acted in include Karam Al Sadeq v Dechert LLP & Ors and Jihad Quzmar v Dechert LLP & Another, in which he acted for claimants in proceedings against an international law firm concerning alleged abduction, torture, and wrongful imprisonment in the Middle East. The litigation has produced a number of reported judgments, including a successful privilege appeal in the Court of Appeal.
Andrew has also acted in Armeniakou v Thomson, litigation concerning freezing injunctions and cryptocurrency disclosure.
Andrew has also acted in Mikadze, Bestfort & Manline v Dechert LLP and others and Mikadze & Massaad v Dechert LLP and Ors, claims arising out of the alleged hacking of confidential information.
He is currently instructed in cross-border litigation before the Royal Court of Guernsey involving allegations of fiduciary breaches, constructive trusts, and unlawful competition.
Andrew joined Stokoe Partnership Solicitors as a paralegal in 2021, qualifying as a solicitor in July 2023. He studied English Literature at the University of Newcastle before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2019 and the Legal Practice Course with Distinction in 2020 at BPP University London.
