We represented the public face of the hacking group The Lizard Squad who were responsible for the Christmas 2014 cyber-attack on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, which resulted in a worldwide shutdown of those gaming networks on Christmas day. The Lizard Squad hacking group publicly took responsibility for the cyber-attack. Following a lengthy police investigation by the South East Regional Organised Cyber Crime Unit, no charges were brought against our client or the group.
We represented a client who is considered to be one of the UK’s most prolific cyber criminals. Our client was accused of committing crimes that covered several international jurisdictions and was reputed to have also hacked US law enforcement agencies.
