James Achillea

James Achillea is a Solicitor at Stokoe Partnership Solicitors specialising in criminal defence. He advises and represents clients across a wide range of serious criminal matters, with particular expertise in serious and organised crime, fraud, drug offences and serious violent crime. He also has a growing practice in extradition matters.

James has experience acting in complex and high-profile cases, including matters that have attracted significant national media attention. His recent work includes representing two clients whose cases featured in a BBC Panorama documentary examining the criminal underworld and acting in contempt of court proceedings before the Royal Courts of Justice.

As an accredited Police Station Representative and Duty Solicitor, James regularly advises clients from the earliest stages of criminal investigations, providing representation at the police station and throughout criminal proceedings. He also appears as an advocate in the Magistrates’ Court, delivering clear, practical advice and robust representation at every stage of the criminal justice process.
