Jessica Sarwat is a Solicitor in the Civil Litigation department at Stokoe Partnership Solicitors. She is an experienced commercial litigator with experience in representing high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients in complex, high-value, cross-border disputes.

Jessica’s practice encompasses a broad range of commercial matters, with a particular focus on civil fraud, breach of confidence and cyber-security related disputes. She has considerable experience in obtaining interim relief such as Norwich Pharmacal orders and prohibitory and mandatory injunctions. Jessica also advises clients on reputational management and defamation.

Notable cases she has acted in include Karam Al Sadeq v Dechert LLP & Ors and Jihad Quzmar v Dechert LLP & Another, in which she acted for claimants in proceedings against an international law firm concerning alleged abduction, torture, and wrongful imprisonment in the Middle East. The litigation has produced a number of reported judgments, including a successful privilege appeal in the Court of Appeal.

Jessica has also acted in Mikadze, Bestfort & Manline v Dechert LLP and others and Mikadze & Massaad v Dechert LLP and Ors, claims arising out of the alleged hacking of confidential information.

In Mikadze v RAKIA & Ors, Jessica represented the claimants in seeking rescission of an arbitration agreement allegedly obtained by deceit, and obtaining interim injunctive relief restraining enforcement of an arbitration award. The case involved complex issues of Swedish and Georgian law.

Jessica joined Stokoe Partnership Solicitors as a paralegal in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in February 2022.
