Commenting in the Financial Times and City AM, Founder Bambos Tsiattalou examines the defamation proceedings brought by Donald Trump against the BBC, highlighting the jurisdictional issues raised by the case.

Bambos’ comments were published in The Financial Times and City AM, 16 December 2025.

“This case will inevitably turn into a hard-fought jurisdictional battle. The BBC is a UK public broadcaster and maintains that the programme was not targeted at US audiences, which gives it a clear basis to challenge whether a Florida court should be hearing the claim at all.

“Without convincing evidence of intentional US publication, jurisdiction is likely to be the central fault line on which this dispute is fought.”
