Stokoe Partnership Solicitors’ Brian Swan succeeds in submission of no case to answer in an alleged multi kilo conspiracy to import class A drugs.

We successfully made a half time submission of no case to answer at Luton Crown Court this week. The client had been Charged with others in a conspiracy to import Class A drugs into the United Kingdom from South America and South Africa.

The case centred on telephone evidence and the recordings obtained from numerous listening devices (probes inserted in vehicles, restaurants and pubs) which were deployed during the course of the 9 month investigation into a criminal group.

The client who was represented by Mr Amjad Malik QC and Mr Nicholas Corsellis was the only defendant who had successfully argued that the Crown had failed to sufficiently prove the case against this defendant.
